Workshop Technician

Due to growth we are now looking for an individual who has experience in a busy workshop and is a confident and proficient mechanic.

About the job:

The job role would suit an experienced technician/mechanic who is looking for a change from the normal day to day mechanics role, who will become part of a small team working together to make sure the work is complete to the customers required standard.

Experience in garden machinery is not essential but can be an advantage for this role.

Main responsibilities:

  • Working on 2 stroke and 4 stroke engines (including lawmowers, ride-on tractors, chainsaws & other handheld machinery)
  • Ability to work on electrical circuits and motors
  • Diagnostic and costing of repair work
  • Use of manual and power hand tools
  • The ability to communicate at all levels
  • Working as part of a team whilst utilising own initiative
  • Attention to detail with extremely high quality standards
  • Keeping your own workspace clean and accessible

About you:
You will be able to demonstrate high levels of competence, have good communication skills and be able to show excellent timekeeping and attendance. You will have the ability to work as part of a team and get on with others.

Apprentice Technician

We are also looking for an individual who is at the beginning of their career in mechanics - perhaps you are a school leaver or someone who has dabbled a bit in mechanics? You will receive top quality training which could lead to nationally recognised industry qualifications and you will be paid throughout your training too.

About the job:

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Apprentice, you will work and train alongside experienced Technicians within a busy workshop. You will gain practical skills and experience. You will be expected to take a hands-on approach to the work which will involve service and repairing machinery, maintenance and cleaning of workshop, basic workshop stock control, cleaning of customer machinery.

About you:

You will have good communication skills and be able to demonstrate excellent timekeeping and attendance. You will have the ability to work as part of a team and get on with others. Be honest, flexible and willing to learn.
